A recognised member of the AAC
I am a member of the AAC, a professional body for Acupuncturists. Requirement for membership to the AAC is a mimum of three years training at an accredited college.
Since qualifying in 1994, I have run a general acupuncture clinic working with people who have had a broad range of ailments. This has given me experience in many different areas of health problems. I have worked in various NHS trials involving the use of acupuncture in cancer care and treatment. I have given lectures for various acupuncture colleges and regularly deliver seminars on auricular acupuncture used in the treatment of addiction and general mental health. I am a Director and Trainer for NADA GB. We train healthcare staff in auricular acupuncture to help people with mental health wellbeing.
During recent years, I have been working with World Medicine, an acupuncture charity that sends volunteer acupuncturists to provide acupuncture treatment for people in countries that have experienced catastrophic situations and/or poverty. During a recent trip to India, I trained hospital staff in a small village in Gujarat to provide an auricular treatment to aid pain management for the local people.
